FOI - asking for specific information?

20th July 2011

I have had a claim rejected by my Council's insurers.
They state several things, including section 58, and give the last inspection date, etc, etc.

They also state that they can confirm that no reports were received from the public prior to my incident.

However, firstly, after my incident, I was told by my neighbour that they had reported it 24 hours before my incident.
Secondly, when I reported it, I asked the operator if they had any other reports and she said that they had several over the previous days and would have to make sure it was actioned further because of the amount coming in.

Can I ask for these specific records as part of the FOI?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Yes, you can ask for any records you believe they might hold.
