Hi there,
I work at an airport, and drive to work and cycle also. In february i had an accident on my bike due to a pothole, i tried to contact the council to get it fixed but they said it was not down to them, so i contacted the airport facilities. i notified them of the pot hole and let them know that there were other large ones on the same road near by that are also dangerous, they only fixed the one that caused me to fall off my bike.
one month ago i was driving to work and had not been to work for a week or so, i drove down the road previously mentioned and hit a very deep and sharp pot hole, it made a horrific bang and now my car does not steer straight. i again contacted them and i photograped the hole:

they replied saying they admit they knew about the holes but fixed the wrong ones or something, they offered me £30 to get my tracking fixed, i phoned the service dept at the dealer and they charge £90 to carry this work out.
the form they want me to fill in hads a statement that says once i fill it out it absolves them of any further claims, im not filling this out when their supposed offer of good will is only going to cover a third of the cost of the damage caused
where do i stand and what advice would you give?
any help much appreciated.
I'm very sorry, but Potholes.co.uk offers general advice for highway based third party claims and can not become involved in private matters such as this.
What I would say is that £30 to sort tracking is more realistic than £90, so perhaps there is something else wrong with your car that the dealer has noticed. I would make double-sure that is all that needs doing before I agreed to anything.
