I am attempting to put in a request to my local council for pothole damage.
Following advice here I have requested FOI and just wondered if it was correct that this is chargeable information...?
Have been advised a portion of information may be available free of charge, can anyone help me as to what information I might be able to gain free of charge.. Obviously reluctant to spend more money on top of a substantial car repair for a potential refusal of claim.

It's very unlikely that they will charge you. Even if they do, they have to inform you first.
