Claim help

7th December 2011

Hi, I hit a pothole in January this year. I took a photo the next day and took all the measurements. I sent this off to Oxfordshire council and after about 6 months they informed me that the pothole location was actually in the Wokingham council area. They have recently written to me via an insurance company and said they will not be paying my claim as the particular road in question is monitored on a regular basis. The pothole was 4inchs deep and did £250 worth of damage to my car wheel/balance etc. I dont feel their explanation is acceptable, can anyone tell me what the next step is? The pothole was still there the next day but the day after had been filled, it was very deep and dangerous.
Thanks
Emma

Your next step is to examine the base for the rejection of your claim and you do this by gathering information about the inspection regime of the highway authority. Have a read of our step by step guide
