Ireland?

I have been living in Ireland for the last 8 years and have been keeping an eye on how the issue of claims with regard to potholes has been progressing.

I do not think that County Councils here have been challenged yet and I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar site/group in relation to the Irish laws.

Having just inspected my vehicle after hitting numerous pot holes I have discovered my leaf spring in the car has literally sheared.

I am now facing a large bill which I feel has come as a result of an unrepaired road and feel the county council is responsible for this.

Any advice in terms of an Irish road users perspective.
