Pothole Claim - Initial Report

Hi,

I'm about to submit a claim request to my council - do I need to include estimates of costs at this stage?

Yes, you should advise them of exactly what you intend to claim for.

Note many people think about this, but it is important that you keep it realistic - for example, if you have paid say £80 for a tyre that had been on your car for a while, then you had already had some use out of it before it was damaged, and therefore you should be claiming a proportional amount less than the new cost.
