they still wont accept liability

hit a pothole and caused damage to my vehicle, the council had left 39 pot holes unfixed for 30 days - they wrote to me and said they were allowed 30 days to repair them - the road was a 30mph road, although they were classed as a priority 4 so surely they should have been fixed before them??

You need to download the national code of good practice from www.roadscodes.org and see what it has to say about time spans for fixing potholes.
