Hi. I hit a large pothole in april which managed to burst my 2 nearside tyres. I was driving at max 20 mph and the pothole was in block pavers which edge the side of the road. I hit the exposed edge and this caused the tyres to burst and at £220.00 each is expensive.
I have followed your instructions but the counties insurers have refused the claim stating that after a routine inspection in February there was no work required. I have sent of a FOI but they have denied to give me this stating that
Information accessible to applicant by other means. 21. (1) Information which is reasonable accessible to the applicant otherwise than under section 1 is exempt information.
Where would i find this info.
I really thought this would be the trump card as I requested the dates of any repairs undertaken.
This pothole has been there since prior to Feb 09 as a look on streetview in google clearly shows the pothole with a noticeboard outside a restaurant advertising mothers day meals back in 09. I orginally sent this info in my claim.
Any advise please.?
Hi, I am also pursuing a claim from Northampton County Council. I was also turned down by the insurers and have just been refused FOI for the same reasons. Can they do this?
Matt
