I have an 06 astra and have recently hit a pothole in cheshire. Most times i use this road are during the night when i come to see my girlfriend but one night i hit the pot hole in the morning i went back to take photgrapic evidence the pot hole was about 12 inches wide with the biggest depth been at least 140mm with a diameter of at least 120mm this was quit a knock and has bent my brake disc i had a quote to repair today for around £250. i have never seen this pothole before so i could not possibly know how long it was there for it was in the wheel tracks of most cars coming around to a cross junction on the left where i was turning! when i drive turn or break the wheel constantly screaches and is embarssing! would this claim be a quick one? or could it take months as i do not have the money to repair. Could this damage my car further if not repaired and could this affect my braking?
Anything would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
No claims are quick, and you will never be paid out in advance of having the repair work done. Have a look at our step by step guide for advice on now you might proceed.
I have no idea about brake damage, but surely any damage could have a detrimental affect on the handling of your vehicle.
