Ripponden Road Pothole - Extreme

Hello Warranty Direct.

I am a high rate taxpayer who forks out hundreds of pounds a month and also an armed force personnel.

My pothole nightmare is as follows:

Boxing Day 2010

Leaving the family after a great Christmas Dinner my partner
and I where travelling home down Ripponden Rd. After avoiding a many potholes from Hodge Clough Rd down to Huddersfield Rd we hit the worst pothole which was dangerous to take avoidance action as it was still icy and also downhill.

My car ran over it with the largest judder and a sound of cracking coming from the left rear of the car. I suspect it to be a cracked alloy wheel or damage to my suspension but will need to take it into a garage for inspection. This is a new alloy that has done barely 1,500 miles mainly on motorway commutes.

If it is the case of damage for a car that was bought only recently then I will press for further action with Oldham Council over the state of not just this particular pothole but of all of them along my route home from Hodge Clough Road to Mottram via Lees New Road.

I am in the process of taking pictures of the potholes and geo-tagging them with precise GPS co-ordinates.

This situation is now beyond ridiculous and the council should not take short cuts as no other country in Western Europe suffer from this.

Please Warranty Direct may you help with my situation if it turns out I have damage as you have my full support in this campaign.

All I want to do is enjoy driving my car without the need to play pothole 'dodgems'.
