Cheltenham, Hatherley Lane 10 metres from Robert Burns Ave

Traveller Beware!
On Tuesday 11th January 2011, while driving home from work east along Hatherley Lane, 10 metres past the Junction with Robert Burns Ave, towards Hatherley Road, my nearside tyre blew out due to a large pothole, 10cm deep by circa 20cm wide and 60cm long.
When I returned to the scene one hour later, I met with two other drivers having met with the same fate. Additionally, there is evidnce of multiple wheel trims on both sides of the road and path, again pointing to numerous incidents
Two smaller but still 7cm deep potholes are present circa 15 metres form the large damage causing pothole. The nerest on of these is marked with a fading white circle, indicative of the councils prior knowledge of the conditon if this stretch of road.
I estimate a cost of £400 for the one month old tyre and damaged mag alloy wheel, providing no damage is present to the steering or suspension.
