Mother pot hole

On driving down this street at no more than 15mph, it was also dark. I heard a sickening bang, then again. I stopped and looked at the car, my front alloy was damaged with a nasty chunk out the tyre, same for the back and the tyre was burst on the side wall.
This is a stank cover with a bloody moat round it, my wheels must have hit the metal cover on the way down causing the damage. I'm in the process of claiming the council.
