How to lose a pothole

by skinhead

22 Mar 2011

I hit a huge pothole in February on the junction of Green Lanes and Hermitage Road in Harringey in my car that was so bad it causd the boot on the car to pop up, and as it was it a convertable car also caused the chassis to slightly buckle. Add to this damage to two wheel rims, two tyres, a couple of smashed wheel trims and damaged tracking.

Rang up the Hackney Council who we thought (and them) the road was in and sent off all the forms and waited.... Nothing happened for three weeks until I called Hackney and they said that the pothole was not in their borough and infact was in Harringey. So, they send all the forms over the Harringey and in time honoured tradition with Harringey, they have now lost all the files. Also they have no idea who filled the hole in or when.

Also I found the phone number of the Inspector of Roads for the borough who also had no idea about this despite this been in his remit!

Goes to prove that councils will lose pothole details at their conveniance!

Pothole location
336-378 Green Lanes, Hackney, Greater London N4 1, UK
Status
Unfilled
