At around 20:00 on Wednesday, 8/4/09 I was driving southbound along the road towards the Nags Head at a speed between 25mph and 30mph. Due to the incline of the road, I didn't see the pothole on the nearside of the road and my car hit it with an extremely loud bang. I have not used this road in over six months so was unaware of the quality of the road surface. After stopping further down the road, I inspected my nearside front tyre only to find a bulge in the side-wall and the cords cut just above the bead of the tyre. Because of this damage, I will have to purchase a new tyre for the near side front wheel of my car. |
