Muswell Hil

This is a narrow stretch of road, single lane each way. From the traffic lights at the junction of Colney Hatch Lane and Alexandra Park Road up to and, to some extent including the roundabout at Muswell Hill. Extremely poor road surfacing throughout an several large potholes poorly filled.

I reported the potholes to Haringey council over a year ago and, to be fair they responded quite quickly to temporarily fill them in. After the very cold spell this winter the potholes were back and far worse. Again I alerted the council and again they filled them in with temporary asphalt. The result is that the road is in a terrible condition, some of the asphalt is already crumbling.

The road desperately need resurfacing. I use this route regular on a motorbike and it's like riding off-road on a trail. Very often you can't avoid the holes as the traffic is heavy. I don't often see cyclists on this stretch, I assume they know how very dangerous it is. I don't have photo's of it yet but will add some later (if the site allows it).

This is definitely an accident waiting to happen.
