Success with Kent County Council.

You may read my earlier moan in April this year entitled 'Lack of success Kent County Council (claim Nov 2010)'. Well, I now have to say after some chasing up, they have now (mid May 2011) paid up in full!

I won't go into the details again as you can read the earlier saga with the photographs. However, I should like to say Thank You again to our PotHolesExpert (sorry I don't have your name!) and to all other readers, just be patient, persistent, and courteous, and you may well find that you are (justly, hopefully) rewarded after all.

The information from this site has been most useful as I would not have thought of asking for road inspection data under the Freedom of Information Act. However, it addition to this, it does pay to go and get your photographs as soon as you can, measurements, etc, and, of course, apply for compensation as soon as possible, keeping copies of your correspondence. As I say, I now have full refund for a new tyre.

I wish I knew your secret ... they are denying all responsility in my sons case, even though they did a terrible makeshift repair two months after his accident and then a year later completely resurfaced the road, 16 complaints were made before my sons accident, then a further 17 reports after, but still, they deny responsibility :(
