I now have an update for this kerb stone catastrophe. I found a document on the local council website that states that the repairs were not going to be done in the correct manner until 2014/15. This is no longer correct. On the 12 Jan 2012, a council highways worker called at my home saying that the kerbs will be repaired at the end of March and if we wanted an official dropped kerb we could have one at the discounted rate of £180 compared to £600 and we have until they start the work to pay it. Great I thought. Today (17 Jan) the same council worker called again to say to us that they will be starting the job next Monday (23 Jan) and unless we have paid for the dropped kerb we will not have one. This is rather unfair as my wife is disabled and she cannot get a parking bay outside our home due to lack of funding and also because we have a hard standing (drive). This would mean that any car can park outside our home meaning that my wife might have to walk a long way to get to the car as our driveway will have no dropped kerb and we face prosecution if we drive over it.rnAnyway I was also told that only the side I live on will be repaired this year and it will be next year that the other side gets repaired...or so he says. That means that the worst side is still going to remain in a dangerous condition for the next year.rn

they are still in a poor state of disrepair. it took a month to get the problem in the video fixed (or should that be bodged) have a look at this second video of mine on you tube at rnhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qA0RtXQVh9g

THIS PROBLEM IS NOT GOING TO BE CLASSED AS FIXED UNTIL THE KERBSTONES HAVE BE REPLACED AND REPAIRED CORRECTLY
