Clevedon pothole

by Mirko

02 Dec 2011

On Wednesday 30th November at approximately 10.05, I was driving along the Clevedon Road near a village called Wraxall. The road was being resurfaced so I was driving slowly. I was visiting a prospective customer for the first time and had never driven along that stretch of road before - so another valid reason for driving slowly. Without warning, I hit a pothole and before I had time to think "that's going to scupper my tyres", my front nearside tyre was running flat. I obviously don't know the area at all well, but the incident occurred at some point between Tynsfield House and a turning for a local farm. There was no signage to indicate the presence of the pothole and I am frustrated that this incident cost me £178 to replace my tyre after I had limped back home to Solihull in the West Midlands at 50mph on my spacesaver. Very frustrating indeed.
