Craigthornhill Road

by Roughrider

28 May 2009

I first reported this to the local road authority over two years ago. The road surface is completely worn out on a very steep hill and there are a myriad of potholes on the approach. I drive 18000 miles a year and cycle over 3000 miles a year and this is the worst road in Scotland in my experience. Last year I had an accident which required a new wheel and the local authority referred my claim to a legal consultant who said that there was no claim to make because the roads inspector had noted no safety defects, despite the fact that this had been reported before. Meanwhile the road has got worse and worse and no significant work has been carried out.

Pothole location
Craigthornhill Rd, South Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire ML10 6, UK
Status
Repaired
