Glasgow City Council, how to repair a pothole or not!!!!

by davedee

22 Dec 2011

I damaged a new tyre a few weeks ago on a pothole on a main road, it was a drain cover that was damaged and had sunk by 150mm (6''). The road surface surrounding the drain had broken away making the hole about 600m x 700mm, the water that gathers in this drain doesn't go away so it is normally full of water and looks like a puddle. It was reported here and to Glasgow City Council and a claim form obtained. What does Glasgow City Council do? They stick a traffic cone in the hole... AND IT IS STILL THERE THREE WEEKS LATER.
At least you can see the traffic cone in the dark.

Pothole location
315 Hamilton Rd, Glasgow, Glasgow City G71, UK
Status
Unfilled

That's better than the pothole which ruined two of my wheels. It's now fixed, but for the 6 weeks or more it was there, it didn't even receive a traffic cone to mark it. And it too just looked like a puddle.rn
