West Alvington Hill

by jennacranch

02 Jan 2012

I was driving my car up West Alvington Hill on 01.01.12 and hit a pothole. I was unable to stop quickly or move out the way as cars were coming in both directions. My car made a large bang, heard by my three passengers, which caused concern so i pulled over at the next safe spot to inspect my car. There was no obvious visual damage and the wheels were intact so i continued on my journey.

Later on in this journey i noticed my car was making an unusual noise from the front nearside wheel (the wheel that hit the pothole) and the following day i think a piece fell off my car. Due to it being the New Year i am waiting to book my car into a garage to find out what has happened.

Photos taken as soon as possible but unable to upload them currently so available for inspection.

Pothole location
W Alvington Hill, Devon TQ7, UK
