Queensferry Road, Edinburgh

by slog51

03 Jan 2012

We drove through this pothole on our way to Edinburgh city centre on 31/12/2011, at approximately 1600 hrs. No warning lights came on (tyre pressure etc.) so we continued our journey after a brief inspection. As we continued (a mile or so later) i felt the car pulling slightly to the left.

After a daylight inspection the following day, the car could visibly be seen to be uneven across the rear suspension, with the near side being 2 or 3 inches lower than the offside.

We immediately contacted BMW emergency service who recovered the car to Aberdeen on 02/01/2012. The car was taken to John Clark BMW, Aberdeen, on 03/01/2012 where it is currently awaiting inspection. A claim will likely be submitted to Edinburgh City Council if it is found to be damaged as a result of this incident.
