Ryalls Lane

by packer

10 Jan 2012

Many potholes on Ryalls Lane have been randomly 'repaired' with tarmac over several years but within days it weakens and the holes reappear wasting time, effort and more importantly, money. The lane is now in a desperate and dangerous state - it is impossible to avoid the holes over long sections and is in dire need of resurfacing. For many residents there is no alternative route. The surface is the worst we have experienced in fifteen years of living in the area - it is now almost impossible to avoid the holes and damage to cars and cycles is bound to occur which may result in expensive claims to the council. The money would be better spent on a more permanent solution. An acknowledgement of the serious state of disrepair is needed followed by a survey and a plan of action to reinstate a surface that is safe to drive and walk on.
