Pothole Borad Lane, St,Helens

Hi, Just wanted to warn you about a pothole which is on Broad Lane, going towards burtonwood. The pothole is very big and deep. Whilst travelling along this road on my way home about 7pm on Monday night i had to move over to let a van through and my car unfortunatly hit this pothole. I didnt notice it due it being night time and this part of Broad lane does not have lamposts but it was also raining heavy and when i pulled over was full of water, so would of looked like it was part of the road anyway.

Due to the pothole my car now has £400 pounds worth of damage. Due to the size of the pothole it has dented both front passager and back passanger alloys and egged both tyres. Both alloys have hairline fractures in them so cant even get away with just replacing the tyre and save myself some money.

I was very supprised that a pothole could do this much damage to my car at 25 - 30 MPH, as i was even slowing down to let a van through so didnt even hit it at speed, even thou this road is national speed limit, god know what would of happened to my car if i would of hit it at 60mph.

I've been back since in daylight to take some photos, which are attched below. The pothole measures 65inches long x 20inches wide x 4.5 inches deep. I've shown this on my photos.

Please try and get this filled in as soon as possible as this i a busy road and one i use regular, and dont want anyone else having to fork out £400 straight after christmas like me.
