4" deep pot hole Copley Lane, Shelley, Huddersfield HD8 8LZ

by Fozzer

10 Feb 2012

Wife & daughter (passenger) were driving along copley lane (which is a relatively narrow country road) when a car coming in opposite direction caused her to hit the hole at the nearside. Damaged the inside rim of the alloy wheel along with tyre wall damage. Will cost ~£300 to put right. The pot hole already had white line paint around it indicating it had already been identified by the council it needed to be repaired. I wonder when it was marked & why it hadn't already been attended to?
I'm just starting the claims process from the council & hope to find out & I will let you know how I get on. The advice on this site is great as I wouldn't have known how to avoid the councils body swerve for a claim!!!!

Pothole location
Copley Ln, Shelley, West Yorkshire HD8, UK
Status
Repaired
