Staples Corner pothole buckle.

I just buckled 2 of my wheels on staples corner roundabout near hendon. I drive an MX5 and was traveling east toward finchley. After coming off of staples corner roundabout you go under a railway bridge. There is a vauxhall garage and a hand carwash place in the arches to your left. You can take the left lane to get onto the M1, or the right lane to filter onto another larger roundabout which will take you to brent cross shopping centre, the A406 east, or all the way round so you can get to brent park shopping area or tescos and toys r us. It's in this right lane that I got the damage. There were 2 massive jolts as my drivers side front and rear wheels went over the pothole cutting out my cd player and causing me too veer off to the right. The hole is on the right just as you're pulling out of the junction. It was dark and I failed to see it, along with the fact that I was looking for oncoming traffic.
I nursed the car to a safe place to find 2 nice big dents in both my wheels. Sadly it was too dark to take decent pictures and the spot where it happened is particularly busy and dangerous, particularly in the dark. So i'm going to go back in the morning and try to get some pics without getting run over. My wheels are 19 inch diameter, so i should think if anyone with smaller wheels were to go over it they'd come off a lot worse. I'm about to start making a claim.
