Road vibration causing house cracks |
|
|
by AimiPlant 03 Jan 2010 The potholes on Tressillian Road are 10-20cm deep, 30-50 cm wide, and run about 75meters along the road. Some of them are next to speed bumps. When buses run along the road (about every 5 minutes) they hit the pothole then a speed bump and the resulting vibration makes our house shake. Our furniture moves across the room, we're kept awake at night, and we have some quite serious cracks appearing. I first reported this problem to Lewisham highways dept nearly a year ago and they still haven't fixed it. I'm now seeking legal advice. |
