Pot Hole, New Road, Tadley

by ljsusan

26 Jan 2010

I have hit 3 pot holes recently resulting in damage to my wheels and large repair bills (2 cracked alloys, 2 flat tyres and damaged alloy faces) I turned a blind eye the first twice, this time I feel it is only fair the coucil pays towards my damages.
The aforementioned pot hole cracked the inside of my alloy leaking all the air out of my wheel resulting in another flat tyre. I have had this temporarily repaired resulting in unsightly (and visable) weights added to the wheel to counterbalance the weld. Not only did it crack the alloy it took chunks out of the front and no doubt damaged the tyre whilst it was sitting flat. This pot hole not only damaged my car but hurt me, I jarred my back (no permenant damage) and bit my tongue!
Other drivers please be careful!
I have not taken a photo of the crack or the welding as I had it repaired straight away and the tyre is now back on the wheel.
I have added an example of the alloy damage and a picture of the balancing weights.
