Pothole

by AnthonyRoome

31 Jan 2010

Driving home last night with my 2 year old daughter @ 5pm, Heading from the A23 towards Chaldon, Rook Lane has no street lighting, I did not see the pothole in time. Both near side wheels went in & within 5 seconds i knew both had been burst.
After waiting for 2 hours for the RAC to turn up, managed to get the car to Kwik Fit.
Went there this morning hoping to have two new tyres fitted to be told that both wheels were damaged & now need to source 2 new wheels - Not a very Happy Chappy.
Although it has been picked up that there is a pot hole
(Orange paint around it) i dont belive this was adequate giving the road type & location, Its a very busy lane that connects to the A23 & the start of the M23.
A cone or sign should have been in place.
