Caterham is a disgrace.

by Pat of Kenley

19 Mar 2007

There has been a new development built along side Kenley Areodrome, so lorries have been trudling up and down Buxton Lane and Hayes Lane for months. The road is in a terrible state, so many potholes and cracked resurfacing areas, that it is impossible now to drive around them. The building works finished about 3 months ago and there has been some patching but this is already begining to crumble.

You are more aware if you are coming from the North end of Hayes Lane as this was resurfaced by Croydon Council last year but only up to their boarder. Then you reach Tandridge Borough. I am surprised that the residents of Buxton Lane, & High Street, Caterham have not complained. They are pay ingTandridge Council, and the noise must be terrible.

The Godstone Road (A22) from Whyteleafe to Caterham is not much better, again very noticable as the Croydon Borough ends just before Whyleleafe. Its only when you get to the Bypass that things improve.
