B6213 Turton Road

by bikerider

07 Feb 2010

I was traveling along Turton Road, Bury at around 18.30 on saturday evening. As I rounded a bend in the road I noticed a car parked on the near side. At this point I slowed to around 25mph (this is a national speed limit road) and moved to the centre of the road. There was no oncomming traffic and the road was clear behind.

I then hit a series of potholes that threw me from my motor bike. Luckily as stated above the road was clear and I wasnt traveling too fast so managed to get myself to my feet and collect the bike from the road.

The bike is trashed along one side, and my wrists and shoulder are aching. But apart from that I seem to have ahd a lucky escape.

I took a couple of pictures the following day (today) so you can all see the state of the road
