Very deep and dangerous pothole

A pothole has appeared in the last week on a main road to the city centre and is deteoriating very quickly. I drove my car over it last week (missed it as it was raining heavily at the time) and it caused major damage to my car.

Both of my front shock absorbers needed changing, the wishbone had snapped, the wheel spring needed changing and a new tyre was also required.

I notified the council again today so hopefully something will be done but this hazard is getting worse very quickly.
