There is a smallish but deep and aggressive pot hole on this road in the wooded section on the carrigeway direction of Haslemere to Liphook. It is about 100-150 meters before the sharp left Linchmere turning. There are no other landmarks to identify it except trees!. It is invisible at night. I had a tyre blowout at only 40 mph and the wheel rim has been severely dented - probably unrepairable. I will have to have the axle checked over as well. It is a dangerous road to replace a tyre late at night even pulled in to a field gateway. As i was replacing the tyre another car pulled in - they had hit the same hole and their 'runflat' tyre was completely flat! |
