Huge pothole - Belgrave middleway - bent rim and popped tyre

by deedubbleu1

18 Feb 2010

On friday the 12th of February, I was travelling back home to Bartley Green around 11pm. As i came off the Belgrave island comming from Small Heath, i came through the speed camera heading towards Bristol Road and Five ways. As i only just went through the speed camera, i could have only been travelling at no more than 40mph on the inside lane.

At this point i hit a huge pot hole, on the opposite side to the mosque that caused me to have a flat tyre by the time i went under the middleway. I managed to get to petrol station on Hagley Road, to put air in, which just about lasted the journey back home. When i checked my wheel the next day, I had two dents in my rim, which cannot be repaired meaning a whole new rim is required!!! As i always pay my taxes I feel that i have been wrongly done by and aim to get this resolved.

The size of the hole is huge and very dangerous, when returning to take pictures, the number of wheel trims near and around the pothole show the number of people that may have damaged their cars, this is not acceptable!
