Claverton Down rd, Bath. Deep and dangerous potholes.

I was driving at below the speed limit behind a bus. The bus driver swerved to avoid something ,and as I saw the pot hole I swerved too, but was unable to avoid the deep hole because of oncoming traffic. The car hit both nearside wheels, immediately puncturing the rear tyre ,and severely damaging the front tyre. There was no warning of this hole, and the many others which followed along this stretch of road. Clearly the council had been aware of these for some considerable time, since on inspection the holes had been ringed by paint, which by now had worn largely away. There were no cones to mark the deep holes; I placed one by the hole to alert others.
