Iver Lane Uxbridge

Just after the second hump back bridge (so it's obscurred from view) there is a large pothole that I have successfully avoided for the last 10 weeks on my daily route to work. I even commented to my collegue last friday about the fact that it's been there for nearly 10 weeks and nothing has been done about it.

Anyway, I happened to be driving up this road this evening, in the dark, forgot it was there and drove right into it. Loud thud, shiver went up spine at the thought of the damage and I immediately got out and saw two inch long holes in the sidewall (one of which cut right through the bead). The tyre would have been enough to annoy me but then I saw the buckled rim.....GREAT!

It's been crazy here for some weeks. I work at Pinewood Studios and that road looks like swiss cheese!! There's one hole i've seen recently that you could fit a basketball into (i'm not embelishing this!).

Anyway, take care folks.

Pothole location
25 B470, Iver, Buckinghamshire SL0 9, UK
Status

Went to take a picture in daylight and they've already been out to fix it. Clearly they are using this site (which is a good thing). But now I guess i'm going to head into difficulties getting them to reimburse me for my ruined tyre..
