North Cave - B1230 (Church Street and Wold Hill)

I was driving home at 21:30 on 3/3/10 when I was slowing to enter a corner (approx speed 35mph) on the B1230 leaving North Cave. Pitch black, no lighting etc and had an almighty bang (double bang actually) that shook the whole car. Steering started pulling sharply to the left and flat tyre indicator came on shortly afterwards. I managed to get home by pumping up every couple of miles and got it into Kwik Fit the next morning. Was told wheel is damaged and not possible to fit a new tyre so car has been recovered for accident repair. Quote for new alloy and tyre (on my shiny new 59 plate Civic) currently stands at £709.84. I returned the following evening and took photos etc and couldn't believe the sheer size of these things, they easily swallow my cig packet whole (stood upright) and encroach about 2 feet into the road, and are about 2-3 feet long each. Not happy at all watch out fellow drivers!
