As a result of driving over this pothole coming from the direction of Walton Bridge to Home Base, my front left tyre burst. The wheel had to be removed and replaced with the spare wheel. This all happened in my work lunch break and as a result I was over an hour late back to work, needless to say, my colleagues were not very happy and nor was by boss.

The actual wheel has been damaged by the pothole and I am yet to find out if this also needs replacing.

I am also under the impression from driving the car post-incident that the tracking has been knocked out. Plus my car now makes a horrible squeaking noise when it goes over any bumps, so I am guessing the suspension has also been damaged.

I will be taking my car to a garage to replace the tyre, possibly the wheel, and have any other repairs carried out which are a result of this pothole.

I will be complaining to the local council and I will provide them with an invoice once the repairs have been carried out to reimburse me with the costs that I have had to pay because of the bad road conditions.

I am extremely cross about this situation.

I have photographic evidence of the pothole and the damage it has caused to my tyre/wheel.

I hope that this pothole is filled in as soon as possible before another innocent driver becomes a victim of our terrible road conditions.
