Daon

by Derek Will

15 Mar 2010

At 21.30 on the 28th Feb. on Rook Lane going toward Caterham in rain, I hit this deep pothole. It is about 15 inches from the left hand verge and about 1/2 mile after the junction with Dean Lane. I had to drive about 1 mile to find a safe place to park to examine the damage.
Result - both left hand wheels badly buckled and tyres flat.
Total cost £295.00. Since my car is a 'classic' the wheels had to be sent away for repair and the tyres, (195 x 14) are hard to get. The wheels and tyres were only returned to me yesterday, hence the delay in making this report.
I shall shortly be having the suspension examined and tested.

Pothole location
Rook Ln, Whyteleafe, Surrey CR3 5, UK
Status
Unfilled
