Alloy wrecking pothole

by wilkybar

15 Mar 2010

I turned onto Spingfield Rd today off Horsham Rd in Crawley, West Sussex & my front right wheel heavily hit a pothole that continues to return & menace our area.

It is narrow right after the Train Crossing on Horsham rd and it probably could have been avoided if there was not a car wishing to turn right but that was not the case & I hit it hard at about 10 or so mph!

When i arrived home i inspected my vehicle straight away as it scared me & it had dented the side of my alloy wheel & caused the wall of my tyre to bulge.

I wouldn't normally make an issue of this but it's like a Third World country driving around Crawley since the bad weather hit and nothing seems to be getting fix in a hurry. It's really not good enough. The council have repeatedly patched up the area involved but it is always a problem area & something more permanent needs to be done!!
