Pothole on the corner leading from Pinfold Lane to Chapel Lane in the Walsall Area

I was travelling, within the speed limit, and on the narrow lane leading from Pinfold Lane to Chapel Lane there was a large pothole to the side of the road. I couldn't move towards the centre of the road to avoid as there was oncoming traffic.

As I went through the damage the result was 2 flat tyres to the passenger side and a dame wheel at the front-passenger side.

I then contacted the RAC who came to assess the damage & they confirmed unrepairable damage to the 2no tyres and 1no wheel.

In the meantime, RAC asked me to slowly drive along to the lay-by further down the road. There, some passer-bys advised that it was extremely common place for cars to park there with tyre & wheel damage.

I was then towed to Colliers Mazda garage in Sutton Coldfield and they are dealing with the damage in the adjacent repairers.

I have since learnt that the wheels are no longer in manufacturer, so to retain matching wheels I shall require 4no new wheels or I will suffer depreciation from non-matching wheels.

I therefore missed my morning meeting appointments in Bromsgrove. To get to a meeting later that afternoon in Tipton I got a taxi for the cost of £20 and got a train back for around £7. I have also had to get a train to and from work today.
