Went down pothole in Sept 09 and took tyre off of rim pics sent to Wiltshire Council as I had to replace both front tyre specilist said as they are low profile. Sent pics and claim to Council who replied and denied there were at fault but filled hole.a month later. Asked why they filled hole had no reply only to say it was within the depth required not to cause damage! |

Take a look at the "step by step guide" under the "how to claim" section - you can submit a FOI act and see for yourself whether they have maintained the road correctly. If it turns out they have then unfortunately there is little you can do but if not then you have a chance of successfully claiming. Don't be disheartened - they often turn down the initial claim but you just need to persevere and your luck may change!
