BUDGET 2010: £100 million to fix UK potholes
25-03-2010
This year's budget has seen the Chancellor assigning £100million to be spent on filling potholes in England, Scotland and Wales.
Following probably the most severe icey conditions experienced across the nation for years, in January and February, the state of many UK roads has been more than evident.
More and more websites, forums and news items tell an ever-increasing number of tales describing some roads as hell for motorists. Despite this allocation, it is still reported that 75% of councils suffered such severe road damage that repair costs could be estimated at £400million, with over 11 years to tackle the backlog.
As a market leader in the manufacture of products for road repair and the filling of potholes, Ultracrete Permanent Pothole Repair is proving a huge success across the country.
Ultracrete Permanent Pothole Repair is a suitable solution for the repair of potholes in roads, driveways and car parks. It can be trafficked instantly in wet, freezing or hot conditions, and at the same time is compatible with the existing road surface.
Ultracrete Permanent Pothole Repair includes fully graded, High PSV interlocking aggregate and specially formulated bitumen, and is supplied in 25kg recyclable containers (Instarmac Plastic Containers Recycling Scheme is available for this product).
• Use in wet, freezing and hot conditions
• No special preparation
• Instant trafficking
• Only one visit required
• Recyclable containers
• Compatible with existing road surface

I suggest sending this to the UK roads board at justin.ward@iht.org or alternatively look on the "How to Claim" pages under "Council Contact Details" where you will be able to view relevant highways email addresses to get in touch with individual councils.
