Deep pothole damaged my alloy at about 30mph

Hi, this Pothole has damaged my back passenger alloy and suspect from passenger alloy, got home after and checked my alloy and found it was slightly buckled and the next day found that my tyre was flat, i am going to get my alloy fix if possible or replaced but first phone my insurance to tell them whats happened and then write a letter to my local council make a claim for the repair costs and hopefully get the pothole repaired to avoid anyone else driving though it, Regards Matthew Davey
