mega potholes

by krazykev

05 Apr 2010

i went to get my wheel balancing checked a couple of weeks ago. this story takes place in swansea on a road called viking way on the enterprise park.
what i see on the road was not pot holes but craters the size of dustbin lids around 5 or 6 inches deep. there was not just 1 or 2 of them there was at least 30 within about 150 yards. it looked as if the place had just had bombs dropped on it. never before have i ever seen holes so big in my life. swansea is riddled with potholes since the snow but this road is a drivers nightmare and a mechanics dream. the damage that could be caused would not bear thinking about. i wish i had my camera. as yet i dont know if the road has been repaired as i have not been along it since. driving along it was like going in and out of a chicane on a racetrack as you tried to avoid the holes. the ironic thing is that it must have been like it for more than a few weeks.

Pothole location
Viking Way, Llansamlet, Swansea SA1 7, UK
