Weardley Lane near A659 Otley Road, Leeds

by v-tomb

06 Apr 2010

The indicated pothole(s) caused my 1 month old tyre to deflate almost immediately and damaged the alloy wheel.

The tyre has a 3cm tear in the inner side wall and the wheel has been visibly straightened at the point of impact.

The road itself suffers from several potholes over its entire length but this particular section is the most severe. It has potholes virtually filling the width of the road and several are very deep measuring in excess of 15cm depth in potholes that are over 1metre square.

My incident was witnessed by another driver who verifies my speed of approximately 30mph where the speed limit is 60mph.

Take care!
