Abbots hall pothole by jwilso 13 Apr 2010 Taking my daughters friend home when heard an almighty bang, drove about 1/2 a mile and noticed steering funny. Checked and found that the tyre was hissing and going down. Put on spare wheel. On driving home saw size of pothole and have taken lots of pictures with my leg in it to show its depth as it was dark and only had a phone camera. it was about 7"-8" deep and a couple of feet long by about a foot and half wide.

On 6/4/10, my daughter suffered damage to both nearside alloys and tyres on her Ford Fiesta, which was caused by driving across the same pothole on the B1053 Braintree to Wethersfield Road. I am currently assisting my daughter in making a claim regarding the damage caused against the Highways Dept. rnrnThis pothole was very deep and is consistent with the description as entered by jwilso. The photographs shown and the location appear to be identical the incident as decribed. rnrnI am wondering what progress was made by jwilso as regards the claim made and hopefully he was successful?rnrn
