should i go ahead with a claim??????

hi all,
i`m looking for some help and info about a pothole/ dipped manhole cover.
rounding a very sharp bend, when i hit this small shollow pothole, it was just that bit too deep and caused me to lose control of my bike (due to me being leaned over)
i lost control (rear wobble) the back end came out from under me (almost fully on the deck) causing my to hit a center kerb island which doesnt look like its been cleaned in years as a small ramp of dirt has built up.
due to this i was sent flying through the air.
long story short, the bike (a 07 plate) is going to cost to more to fixs than its worth (third party insureance, i know, i know FOOL!!!!!!)
should i try and claim looking at my pics? any info helpful, as money is very tight and i cant really afford to lose any money!

Can i suggest you post this story in the "ask advice" section as there is an expert on the matter who will be able to inform you of his opinion on your chances of a successful claim.
