Unfilled pothole

by lilmisslockwood

This isn't a story about damage to a car, it's about damage to a person. I crossed Northenden Road outside Claire Haggerty's towards the car wash. Before I knew what hit me I was on the round in the road with a car coming towards me and I couldn't get up. One trip to A&E later I'd had parts of the road cleaned from my elbow, which was bruised and grazed, two bruised knees and damaged ankle ligaments, and was on crutches. All because I'd tripped in a pothole whilst crossing the road.

Almost 4 weeks later my ankle is still tender with limited movement and I can only wear a flat shoe.

Take care crossing the road - it's not just cars that suffer at the hands of a pothole!

Pothole location
213-237 Northenden Rd, Trafford M33 2, UK
Status
Unfilled
