Potholes and poor quality road surface

by trickyhicky270

09 Jun 2010

Reported numerous times to council, "repair" consists of a bloke stamping some tarmac into potholes with his boot which stays in for about a week. This road is used as a shortcut for a lot of HGV's which are too big and causing most of the damage to the road and verges( council did a traffic monitoring survey when several local roads were closed meaning less lorries that particular week and decided a weight limit wasnt needed , how convenient...). Hocklesgate which runs paralell to Hallgate and is only used by light vehicles on the school run was totally resurfaced 2 years ago (maybe a counciller lives down Hocklesgate...).
I have lived here for 3 years and have had 3 tyres damaged and a spring broken so far.

Pothole location
E Gate, Fleet, Lincolnshire PE12 8, UK
Status
Unfilled
